Assessment
ASSESSMENT
Throughout your child’s time at Sandhill Primary School, they will be continually assessed to profile their development. This starts in our Foundation Stage where children’s development is observed and a picture of attainment is produced corresponding to the Foundation Stage Profile. At the end of Key Stage One and Two, children undertake statutory National assessments. In Key Stage One these assessments are carried out in an informal setting. In Key Stage Two the children sit Statutory Assessment tests (SATs) and these are carried out in a formal test situation as required nationally. Results of all assessments are reported at Parents’ Evening and as part of our annual school report.
Our results for last year’s statutory assessments are:

Inclusion
There is a clear framework in school to identify and support children’s individual needs. The school’s Special Needs/Inclusion Co-ordinator is Mrs Hirst. As soon as a concern arises, we aim to work as a team, with parents, to establish how the school can structure support to meet the needs of individuals. The school works closely with our Learning Mentor, Parent Support Advisor (PSA) and outside agencies to provide appropriate intervention. At this point a child may be added to the Special Needs, Vulnerable or More Able Register.
