Admissions

All children have an equal right to apply for a place in any school in Barnsley regardless of their address.  Further details of admissions procedure are contained within the booklet “Admission to School, Advice to Parents” which is published by the Local Education Authority and supplied to parents annually.  A copy of this booklet is available in school for information.  New starters are admitted to school in September and January according to the criteria listed below:

• Children whose fifth birthday falls between 1st September and 31st December
• Admission at the beginning of the Autumn Term (September)
• Children whose fifth birthday falls between 1st January and 31st August
• Admission at the beginning of the Spring Term (January)
